We love it too! It’s a great way to get up-close-and-personal with Nat Geo’s captivating visual images, and it includes all kinds of “extra” features such as interactive maps and videos that take readers well beyond the print edition.

Students get a kick out of reading National Geographic’s interactive magazines! It tutor sessions more fun and teaching them about geography so much easier since they really pay attention and take turns “interacting” with it.
I think that would be a very interesting exercise to locate the origins of your clothes ona world map. A bit of an eye opener probably too.
I have a map that has the names of the states written phonetically, and the kids get a real kick out of trying to figure out what the real names are. It’s a bit of a mnemonic device as well.

I just purchased 40 NG maps on ebay (12 bucks) and plastered my son’s bedroom walls with them. He is 10 and does not like to go to bed, so I give him 5 minutes extra for every place he can find that I call out. I am still in control, I just pull a hard oue out of my hat when it REALLY is time for bed

You’d be surprised by how international your clothes are! Check the tags as you get dressed in the morning, then find on a map where your shirts, jeans and underwear were made!
